Q. My bike is not listed. Do you have a ride height / seat height reduction kit for my bike?
A. Please measure the link length form hole center to hole center on your bike. Also check if the links are straight, curved, or bent. Measure the bolt hole diameter on the standard links. Send this information to us along with details of your bike, make, model, year model and how much you would like to lower or rise the ride / seat height.

Q. Did You send the wrong kit to me? The lowering kit contains links that are longer than the standard ones!
A. You got the correct kit! Lowering links should be longer than the standard links. We double check that we send the correct links so mistakes are extremely rare. So far we have got it right. In 99.99% of cases we have sent the right kit. Please read the installation instruction included with the kit

Q. Did you send the wrong kit to me?. The ride height increasing kit contain suspension links that are shorter than the standard ones on my bike
A. You got the right kit, the ride height increasing kit should have shorter suspension links than the standard ones.

Q. I am not sure if my bike has been lowered/rised before. What is the hole center to hole center measurement on this kit?
A. The best way is that you measure the link lenght of the links fitted to your bike, and send this information to us. Please see the answer to the previous question, regarding the information we need to help you out.

Q. Do I need to lower my front fork also when fitting a ride height lowering kit?
A. A moderate lowering like 25mm does not neccessary require a lowering of the front forks. The bike will be more stable of lowering and turn in a bit slower into bends. If you like can lower the front forks by sliding the front fork stancions (fork legs) upwards in the triple clamps (yokes). It is important that this job is done one side at the time.

Q. Are other modifications required when fitting a ride height adjuster kit?
A. When the bike is lowered it will stand more upright on the sidestand. You may like to shorten the sidestand/kickstand. Moderate lowering like -25 mm lowering (-1 inch) does not neccessary reguire that you shorten the sidestand. With larger lowerings -40 mm or more we recommend that you shorten the side stand by cutting or bending it. If you ever like to rise the bike again, you can get a used sidestand from a motorcycle salvage company for about 15-20 pounds. If you increase the ride height with a ride height rising / increasing kit, the bike will lean over more when on its side stand. You may like to extend the side stand.
On some motorcycles the centre stand needs to be shortened or removed:
Honda XL 1000 Varadeo, Kawasaki KLE 500 (-60mm lowering), Kawasaki KLV1000, Suzuki GS500E/F (-50 mm lowering), GSF Bandit 00-04 (-50 mm lowering), DL650 V-strom 04, SV650 99-02 (- 50mm lowering). SV 650 03-> (-50mm lowering), Suzuki GSX750 F 98 (-45 mm lowering), DL 1000 V-Strom 02, Yamaha FZS Fazer 01-04 (-50 mm lowering).

Q. The installation instruction says "For Racing Use Only" - What does it mean? A. We sell ride height adjusters worldwide. The statement "For Racing Use Only", is a way to comply with international legislation. In practise this means that the buyer should check that fitting a ride height adjuster kit is street legal in his/her country of destination if the motorcycle will be used in traffic / upon public roads. In most countries fitting ride height adjusters are legal, and does not require any action, in some countries you may need to show up your bike for vechicle inspection (MOT) and register /approve the modification. The vechicle inspection will basically check that the rear wheel can move freely during the complete suspension movement, so it is an simple inspection. All Lust Racing ride height adjusters are made of forged steel and are as strong as or stronger than the original parts they replace. We recommend informing your insurance company about the modification to ensure that the your insurance is valid after the modification. In some countries fitting a lowering kit can reduce the insurance quote for new riders as the bike becomes more stable.
